Minimal Tooth Movement Technology
Unlike conventional braces or even Invisalign, MTM®, or Minimal Tooth Movement®, is used to correct minimal misalignments, such as gaps or crowding and is now offered by Dr. Ringer from Dental Cosmetics in Anaheim Hills. Virtually undetectable, MTM® is an aligner system that is custom made according to Dr. Ringer’s plan. With MTM®, you can have a beautiful smile for a fraction of the cost and time.
With MTM®, those spaces in between your teeth can be eliminated. If your teeth are crowded or overlap each other, talk to Dr. Ringer about Minimal Treatment Movement. MTM can also be used for teeth that tip and teeth that are off center. Dr. Ringer may also suggest MTM® if you have teeth that are rotated.
When you schedule an appointment with Dr. Ringer for an MTM® consultation, he will determine if you are a good candidate for the clear plastic aligners. If you are deemed suitable, you will be fitted for a series of clear plastic aligners that you will wear between 20 and 22 hours each day. Because your individual plan and your Minimal Treatment Movement trays are designed digitally, there is no need for tabs to be placed on your teeth. You will remove your clear plastic aligners when you eat, drink hot beverages, brush and floss. Because MTM® is used for minimal misalignments; you could see results in just three to six months.
During your Minimal Treatment Movement plan, you will wear a series of clear plastic aligners that you will swap out every two weeks, or three weeks, depending on your treatment plan. Unlike conventional braces, which often require adjustments by a dentist or orthodontist, you will only need to see Dr. Ringer every six weeks to make sure that your Minimal Tooth Movement is going according to plan.
