Porcelain Veneers for a Beautiful Lasting Smile

Porcelain veneers will give you a beautiful smile, and best of all, you don’t have to spend a fortune to have the smile you deserve.

Unfortunately, not everyone was born with a perfect grin. In fact, most of your favorite celebrities have probably had at least one cosmetic dentistry procedure in their lifetime whether it be porcelain veneers, dental implants or a Minimal Tooth Movement System procedure.

According to Dr. Jack Ringer, past president and Accredited Fellow with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, a new smile is just what the doctor ordered, but it isn’t just esthetics.

How Can a Bad Smile Lead to Tooth Decay?

If you have tipped, crooked, chipped, cracked, or broken teeth it can be difficult to brush and floss properly. A poorly aligned smile can lead to tooth decay and gum disease. Porcelain veneers, cosmetic dental bonding, clear braces, inlays, onlays, cosmetic dental crowns and dental implants not only make you look better, but will also make you feel better as well. With cosmetic and restorative dentistry, your newly aligned smile will help prevent tooth decay and gum disease as long as you practice good oral hygiene.

Which Procedure is Best for Me?

You may only be considering tooth whitening, but if you have old dental restorations, your smile will not look even. Dental restorations, such as porcelain veneers, cosmetic dental bonding, inlays, onlays, dental implants, and tooth colored fillings cannot be lightened with professional tooth whitening products. If you have a mouthful of stained and broken restorations, Dr. Ringer may recommend additional cosmetic dental procedures to restore your less than perfect smile.

Cosmetic Dental Bonding

This cosmetic dental procedure can be completed in a single dental appointment, and unlike veneers can be reversed. If you and Dr. Ringer choose dental bonding, a shade will be chosen that matches the rest of your teeth. Once the shade has been picked, the surface of the tooth or teeth will be etched and prepared for bonding with a liquid solution. Once the area is ready, Dr. Ringer and his team will sculpt the resin in place. After the bonding has been applied, it will be cured with a light or laser. After it has hardened, Dr. Ringer will shape and mold checking the bond for fit and comfort.

Porcelain Veneers

Second only to teeth whitening in popularity, veneers are the permanent solution to your chipped, broken, or cracked smile. If you and Dr. Ringer decide on porcelain veneers, a small portion of the enamel on your teeth is removed to make way for the thin sheet of porcelain. If the enamel isn’t removed, your smile will look thick and unnatural. Once the enamel has been removed, a mold will be made for your new veneers. If your teeth are unsightly, temporary veneers may be fitted until your permanent porcelain veneers are ready. Once your new veneers are ready, Dr. Ringer will bond into place.

Clear Braces

If you think adults look silly wearing conventional wires and brackets, call or click and talk to Dr. Ringer about the Minimal Tooth Movement System. With MTM, you can have a beautiful straight smile in less time with most patients seeing beautiful results in 12 to 18 months. Standard braces can take up to 2 years to complete treatment.

Dental Implants

If missing teeth have been plaguing you for months, or even years, talk to Dr. Ringer about dental implants. With dental implants, you can say goodbye to uncomfortable dentures. If your teeth are missing, you know how difficult it is to talk and eat. Dental implants are surgically placed in the jaw or on the jawbone and can last for the rest of your life as long as you practice good oral hygiene.

Cosmetic Dental Crowns

Cosmetic dental crowns are used to fill large cavities and to replace silver amalgam fillings. With today’s materials, tooth colored dental crowns can last as long as conventional metal to porcelain and metal crowns.

When it comes to cosmetic dentistry, you can count on Dr. Ringer to recommend the best procedures for your smile.
